$30m in photo radar tickets issued at one Winnipeg spot
Rodney Bolianaz, who served 27 years with the Winnipeg Police Service, has been running the traffic ticket-fighting service

School Zone Tickets Can Be Costly

School Zones Tickets became effective September 2, 2014 in Winnipeg. As children begin to come back to school from their summer break, the Police once again have started to ticket motorists for speeding over 30 km in designated school zones. The lower speed limits currently address a variety of elementary schools throughout the city and are in effect Monday* to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., September through the end of June. *Please note: school zones are in effect even on holiday Mondays so watch out!

Watch Your Speed
Just a friendly reminder to watch your speed this summer as you go out and about to enjoy the nice weather. The East St Paul RCMP have a ProLaser 4 to monitor your speed. This handy little gadget can be used within a range of 10 feet to 800 feet I am told. Unlike traditional radar the laser can easily pick one vehicle out of a group. So if your heading out near Grand Beach, Bird’s Hill Park or venturing towards Lockport for a famous hot dog be on the alert because the RCMP will be looking for you. Either you watch your speed or the RCMP will watch your speed, and trust me they will see you long before you ever see them this summer.
